EQF meets ECVET

"EQF meets ECVET" wants to offer a new model for recognition of all learning to ease access to and progress in VET, especially for disadvantaged learners.

Recognition of VET units also improved the skills acquired, made trainees outcomes transparent and helped them enter the labor market and lifelong learning.
For many people with intellectual and learning difficulties, with migration background, for drop-outs and people from sectors with low educational achievement it is impossible to finish, even to enter formal VET programs. But without recognised certificate access to the labor market is seriously compromised. To ease this target group's access to VET and so to lifelong learning training programs must be tailored to those learners' needs. One form of tailored VET was developed in the project "NQF Inclusive": basic VET programs were defined at NQF levels 1 and 2. Another way to ease access and re-entry to (basic) VET is to modularise VET programs and recognize these units via NQF.
Within this project, they had developed a learning methodology (LEOs) of the validated units, valuing them and thus offering a more individual learning path.
