Main Objectives
Its concrete goal was to improve the transition from vocational education and training (VET) towards employment and provide 4 vocational schools and enterprises with specific information and practical suggestions to implement universal design in VET context. The objective of this is to guide all students, including those with disabilities, towards the open labour market.
Outcomes
A strategy for use throughout Europe to help practitioners apply universal design in their local VET environment. This strategy is based on research carried out in the partner countries focusing on two key concepts of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: ‘universal design’ and ‘reasonable accommodation’.
One VET programme in each partner country based on this strategy, adapted for the school and participating students.
