Description  The 2008 ‘UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities` is especially considered as being the engine of inclusion for people with disabilities. The guidelines of the convention were transposed into the German national law called Bundesteilhabegesetz. The essence of the law is to offer people with disabilities the right for a modern participation in social life. The law stipulated an ICF-based assessment of the individual requirements. This means that funding agencies request this assessment from service providers like the Josefs-Gesellschaft. Due to those legislative changes, the Josefs-Gesellschaft created the participation Management process. The utilization of ICF is the basis for the plan of participation.  Within the framework of our Participation Management process, the method of Case Management is utilized to coordinate the individual participation Management process of each our clients. The Case Manager is the contact person for all involved participants

(employees, funding agencies, service recipient etc.). Therefore, the communication- and coordination process becomes more efficient. Additionally, the Case Manager ensures that the defined services (noted in the plan of participation) for each client are realised in each involved department (working, living etc.). To support this process, the defined services are planned, steered and documented within a centralized software program called VIVENDI.JG. Hence, inefficient processes are avoided and the efficient utilization of resources is optimized. The recent data and the whole communication process is visible for all involved employees. Therefore, the coordination of employees is fast and easy and the administrative work is lowered. Regarding the refinancing of services: all services and their duration are presented in VIVENDI.JG. This offers the opportunity to control the realisation of the individual determined services of our clients. Moreover, potential for optimization becomes apparent. The Josefs-Gesellschaft as a nationwide provider collaborates with various funding agencies. Each agency has different requirements. The utilization of ICF as a broad foundation of the participation Management process, is successful in correspond to all requirements.  Our participation Management process offers solutions for todays´ challenges and is in accordance with legal requirements. Hence, our offered services are client-oriented and the operational stuff is well equipped. Different instruments like audits and process revisions are in use to constantly ensure and develop the quality of our work.
