Organization overview: Fundación Rey Ardid is a group of non-profit organisations that develops activities aimed at the attention, care and integration of vulnerable people, generating services and environments that facilitate greater personal autonomy, through an efficient management of available resources and placing the person at the centre of all its actions. 

About Escuelas de Segunda Oportunidad (E2O)

The Training & Employment Department of Fundación Rey Ardid offers various educational levels and opportunities for young people with disabilities. These levels are:

1.       Training Program

It is comprehensive of adult education, VET, Workshops, lifelong training for trainers, professional qualifications, and Initial qualification programs.

2.       Second Chance School

Offered together with the National Spanish Organization of Second-Chance Schools. It is intended for young people between 18 and 21 years old who have not finished their mandatory education

Course structure:

A)      Basic training modules where language, mathematics, social, natural, and labor orientation are taught

B)      Training modules specific to the profile studied, developed in a real work environment (hairdressing, gardening, kitchen assistant, industrial laundry)

C)     Module of 120 hours of on-the-job training.

D)     Visits, talks and participation in the Coach Project (Exit Foundation)

Methodology

·       Based on personalised and structured itineraries for each young person.

·       Small groups

·       Collaboration with enterprises.

·       At the end of the course we have a training and employment orientation service with employment guidance

3.    Employment Program

In collaboration with Employment Agencies, the implementation of specific programs for people at risk of social exclusion, with specific programs for people with disabilities programs for people sentenced to Community Services, and specific programs for immigrants.
